    St. Mary Magdalene Church provides many opportunities for individuals who wish to learn, grow in faith, and serve the needs of others.  All are invited to serve.  We encourage you to consider the Rector or the appropriate leader listed here by clicking on their name and sending them an e-mail.Acolytes (Adult & Youth):                A ministry open to all parishioners eight years of age and older.  Teams alternately share in this special service to the Lord (adults seem to especially enjoy this ministry which they may have performed as a child).  Training is given throughout the year.

 Altar Guild:

    A ministry open to men and women 18 years of age and older.  Teams prepare the altar and sanctuary for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and other special services.  Training is given throughout the year. Contact Mona Phillips (954) 972-3275

CHOIR AND MUSIC

    A ministry providing appropriate music to enhance our worship services, special events and other occasions..  Practice is every Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. and on other occasions for special events.  We welcome anyone with musical talents (instrumental or vocal) to share them with the parish.

LAY READERS

    A ministry open to men and women who support worship services.  They are trained in Scripture, history and doctrine and public worship.  They are licensed by the Bishop to administer the chalice at Holy Eucharist services.  Training is given throughout the year. LECTORS

    A ministry open to men and women who read lessons in worship services.  Training is given throughout the year.  Contact Phyllis Stuart or Angela Rhone

THE ORDER OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE KING

    A ministry open to adult women, who commit themselves to a life of prayer, service, study and evangelism.  The group organizes an annual Advent Quiet Day and initiates the coordination of annual Lenten soup suppers.  They maintain a long-term prayer list for parishioners, their families and friends and prays for those on the church prayer list on a daily basis.  Contact Vilma Warren (954) 724-4311

THE BROTHERHOOD OF ST. ANDREW

    A group that offers men a place where they can go and share their thoughts and problems with a community of caring men.  It provides a place where men can pray and bond together in the love of God.  The Brotherhood takes on projects for the good of the parish and of the membership.

    A ministry to provide taped recordings of each sermon and videos of special services throughout the year.

 USHERS

    Teams assist at services by greeting members and newcomers, assisting with seating, gathering the offering and the Holy Communion process.  Training is given throughout the year.

LAY EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

    Specially trained and licensed lay persons administer the Eucharist to shut-in parishioners.  Training is given once annually through the Diocesan School for Christian Studies.

ALTAR FLOWER GUILD

A group of people who create flower arrangements to be placed on the altar each Sunday.  Teams of one or two people alternate weeks throughout the month.  Flowers are provided by the Church and are arranged either on Fridays or Saturdays.
