St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church

Our mission is to raise social awareness and ministry participation and to develop and organize outreach services for our parish and global community

With this mission statement guiding us, in the past year we have:

  • Coordinated lunch at St Laurence Chapel once a month and provided the food twice a year.

  • Collected school supplies for our preschool and also disadvantaged students in Broward county.

  • Hosted coffee hour where arts and artisanal coffee from Haiti were sold to support the St Thomas University Haitian Artisan Project.

  • Coordinated the Salvation Army Angel Tree project at St M and M.  Collecting gifts for 75 disadvantaged children.

  • Collected food store gift cards to be used in cases of need within the parish and for those known to parishioners.

  • Supported with prayer, monetary donations and our physical presence the Navajo and Our Little Roses missions.

  • Collected school supplies and financially supported the Colombian Happy Hearts mission.

  • Held our inaugural St Patrick’s Day Baked Potato lunch to raise money for our "mission fund" allowing us to support mission outreach in the parish.

  • Supporting Vitas Comfort and Volunteer Bereavement Program.

Even though "Committee" is part of our name we are an open group and welcome new members with new ideas as to where we could be directing our efforts.

We meet on the second Tuesday of the month Sept through May (except Dec) at 7 pm in the library.
