Greetings, everyone!!

First and foremost...big thanks and congratulations are in order for our 1st ever Halloween Bash!!  It was wonderful, and once again, I was incredibly grateful for the talents and commitment of our youth and parents.  You all did an amazing job decorating, and helping.  And parents, thank you for you generous contributions to the bash.  (even last minute spaghetti/intestines!)  Below is a note from Mother Cynthia that I am sharing with all of you.

THE FIRST EVER SUPER DUPER HALLOWEEN PARTY WAS A HUGE SUCCESS. Thanks to all of you who made it possible. It’s a grand thing to run out of hotdogs and know that next year we need to plan for more people. It was grand to have so many Preschool families and our neighbors from the condos next door. We’ve had a request for more events like this so we’ll put our heads together for a Spring Whoop-Di-Do of some sort. Thank you Barbara Windsor for your initial suggestion; thanks to the youth and children who decorated and constructed the haunted house. Thanks to the Preschool for the Pumpkin Patch. Way to go, all!

Next on the news list...this Sunday we begin our Christmas tree fund raiser, and we will be handing out the forms after services.  I will be at St. Martin's on Sunday morning, so I am asking for your help after both services to hand out the order forms, answer questions, and be our youth presence.  If you can help after the 8am or the 10:30am services, let me know.  And while we are on the Christmas tree subject, I will need help when the trees come in, to unload, then sort out the trees and give to those who have ordered them.  There will be Christmas music, cookies and eggnog, and a jolly good time for all.  If you can help, let me know.  Trees should arrive around Dec. 6th.  If you do help, I ask that you wear long sleeves and pants, and bring gloves.

Confirmation class and youth groups will meet at the regular times this Sunday.  So I will see you all at 3pm for Confirmation class, and youth groups to follow.  Thank you all for being such a wonderfully fun and Spirit-filled group to work with!!

Deep Peace,
Michelle
